Golden Ages
Caring and Supporting vulnerable members of Society is what Golden Ages stands for. We have a responsibility to take care of the elderly people who have raised us as we understand life is a full circle.
“A Community without the Elderly is like a Well without Water”
PROGRAMMES
Doorstep Medication Wellness
This programme aims to address the constraint of not having enough medical facilities elderly persons can access without traveling long and often dangerous distances.
Doorstep Medication Wellness is a registry of chronic medication patients between the ages of 55 – 80 years. These patients are on a data base that allows for their medication to be delivered in the comfort of their own homes. The medication is delivered by a trained and qualified health care worker that will conduct a heath assessment upon dispensing the medication. The health care workers all use a tablet as a platform linked to all associated clinics to upload all collected medical data.
Eat Better – Live Better
This programme aims to assist elderly persons who are vulnerable and often financially incapable of having a balanced nutritional diet due to circumstances beyond their control. The Eat Better – Live Better Programme has a registry of such individuals and assists them by providing basic survival food parcels monthly. Parcels are delivered to vulnerable elderly persons monthly, limiting strenuous travel.
